I'm Nathan Pennington

I started ClayShore because I love local. The local craftsman and artisan should be getting the best and most effective SEO work.

What does that mean? It means work that stands on it's own resulting in more customer activity.

Why me? Well, I've done over a decade of software development. Because of that, by nature I build things that work, and I fix things that don't. That's the approach I take with local SEO.

No smoke and mirrors. Instead, progress will be made and it'll be clear to everyone.

How I Work

Local SEO isn't complicated when you strip away all the agency theater. It's about making sure people in your area can find you when they're looking for what you offer. That's it.

I focus on businesses that care about the work they do. B&Bs that take pride in their hospitality. Home service providers who show up on time and do the job right. Small professional firms built on reputation and relationships. If you're a business that values craftsmanship over cutting corners, we'll probably work well together.

No Contracts

We work together because it's working, not because you're legally obligated. If you want to stop at any point, you stop. No penalties, no hassle.

The First Three Months

When we start working together, the first three months are key. That's when we're laying the foundation: fixing technical issues, optimizing your Google Business Profile, building citations, getting your site in shape. This is where the real work happens.

At the end of those three months, you should be seeing more customer activity. More calls. More form fills. More people walking through your door mentioning they found you online. If that's not happening, something needs to change.

Here's what I do differently: if we get to the end of three months and you're not seeing increased customer activity, I keep working until you do. No additional charges. Because you shouldn't have to pay for results you're not getting.

What I Don't Do

I don't work with chains or corporate-owned branches. No chasing vanity metrics. No umpteen-page reports filled with fluff that looks impressive but doesn't tell you anything useful about your actual business.

I also don't promise overnight results or guarantee specific rankings. Anyone who does is either lying or doesn't understand how search works. What I do promise is honest work, clear communication, and a focus on what actually matters: you getting more customers.

Why "ClayShore"?

The name comes from the geography around my home town. The clay shores of Lake Michigan. There's something solid about that. It's established. It's been here. It's not going anywhere.

That's the kind of business I want to work with, and it's the kind of business I'm trying to build. Not flashy. Not chasing the latest trend. Just solid work that lasts.
